Very good and professional police officers. Proud be to a resident of Margate and know that I am protected if need be. Thank you to all the officers who put their lives in risk everyday to protect the citizens of Margate and so many more.
They never come. No matter how many times I call they never show up. God forbid something actually happens and someone is injured and the police could have prevented it if they actually came when the "disturbance" was reported.
A police department full of unethical individuals who are dedicated to abusing their authority and making the lives of minorities horrible. I have many stories about MPD, this is the 1st. Im going to start by saying that had never been in trouble with the law my WHOLE life until this day, which was less than a month after I turned 18 years old, in 2003. An Officer who's last name is Shaw arrested me for riding my bike and said that I was loitering and prowling on the base that i was riding my bike near a pawn shop that is along the way of my home. Mind you, I was in a tank top and jeans ONLY. Meaning i had no gloves, tools or even a mask, like a theif who is trying to steal would have..Shaw started to approach me with his patrol cars engine revving as though he was going to run me over saying STOP..STOP... Being that it was night and I was riding my bike away from the pawn shop. I was not able to see who was trying to run me over until after i reached a near by fence of a home who was once owned by a friend of mine that had recently moved. The officer had me at gunpoint and told me to get on the ground. I complied, the first thing he did was search me, then asked, "where is the dope at?"..Seriously, a "professional" grown man ending a sentence with the word at...smh..I replied, "dope..dope..I don't have any dope"..he proceeded to put me in handcuffs, then his squad car. Confused and baffled, I asked, can I know why I am being arrested?.. He replied calmly and almost with a smile on his face, you're being arrested for loitering and prowling..To all who read this, if you or someone you know have been a victim of MPD or their affiliates and have witnesses and or video footage that disprove their allegations, do not be scared. File a report against these pieces of THRASH. If there is files of their abuse and misconduct, it can be means of TERMINATION.
